Trying to hunt scud missiles on foot? What were they thinking? The SAS wrote the book on desert ops in WW2 and the first lesson they learned was, “take jeeps”. You have to cover huge distances, and move fast after a contact. Walking around with 150lb packs was bonkers.

I love the story and Bravo Two Zero is one of the finest films regarding actual Special Forces (SAS) operations. That said, the SAS short changed the team by setting their radios to the wrong frequencies, and they really had no viable egress once the helo option was blocked. That one of them actually got to Syria is amazing, but it just should never have been this FUBAR from the get go.

Reality is that they ran away from an old farmer with a shotgun and his son who had an AK47 😂

How could be possible a Compass attached to the rifle? What is happened next is the compass needle going wilde to any direction make it totally useless..

This os a great one off film but no way on earth does a small SF unit, behind the lines, with no backup prolong a firefight. They don't habe the backup, heavy weapons or ammunition for a prolonged engagement, nor can a small unit take casualties. Its all about de-contacting. Great watch though

Literally didn't happen. LOL...a fighting patrol overrunning an entire mechanised platoon on open ground. In reality, they escaped from the wadi and stopped a few times to return fire.

Sooo, let me make sure I understand this correctly: having a choice between an armoured troops carrier (BTR) who is actively engaging his comrades with a .50 cal and a non-armoured non-armed truck from which the troops already dismounted, the highly trained command chooses to waste his LAW on the latter, rather then the former? Make a lot of sense 😎

I enjoyed ready the book and only watched part of the movie but then shame years later it has been pretty much verified most of Andy's book is fiction and the events has he described them never happened.
